I landed in Dubai at 2 AM on a Tuesday. By 8 AM the next morning, I was standing at the base of the Burj Khalifa looking up at something that simply should not exist — 828 metres of glass and steel in a desert. Dubai does that to you. The desert safari on Day 3 was the moment Dubai stopped being a city and became an experience.
